Warehouse Assistant / Delivery Driver

We are seeking an individual to assist our warehouse team in Pendle Hill for 2 days a week and carry out deliveries 1 day a week. Opportunity for weekend work on an ad-hoc basis. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Review weekly hire order schedule.
  • Assist warehouse manager with preparing weekly hire orders including:
    • Preparing inventory (pulling, checking, counting, cleaning).
    • Packing inventory into transport tubs/crates and labelling with customer details.
  • Assist cleaning staff with processing weekly returned hire orders including:
    • Unpacking, inspecting and reconciling inventory to client order for missing/damages/breakages.
    • Placing inventory back on designated shelves.
  • Manage shipping of hire orders including:
    • Liaising with clients on pickup/return and delivery/collection to confirm hire order details.
    • Load/unload into client vehicles (dry hire) and business delivery vehicle.
    • Ensuring transport tubs/crates are secured from movement.
    • Delivery and collection of hire orders, following delivery route schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Maintain quantity and quality control of inventory including quarterly stocktaking.
  • Follow OH&S business standards at all time.
  • Assist warehouse manager with new inventory/business supplies including reconciling to supplier packing lists, unpacking, reporting any damages/missing to office.


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Personable and professional attitude and effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Demonstrate initiative and take accountability of tasks.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver’s license required; will drive business van for deliveries.
  • Must be physically able to lift heavy items.
  • Prior warehouse or delivery experience preferable.

Cleaning Staff

We are seeking an individual to assist our cleaning and warehouse team in Pendle Hill for 1-2 days a week. The position will be responsible for cleaning of tableware and managing our linen hire collection. Opportunity for weekend work to steam table linen on site on ad-hoc basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist cleaning staff with processing returned hire orders including:
    • Unpacking, inspecting and reconciling inventory to client order for missing/damages/breakages.
    • Cleaning of inventory and transport tubs/crates using commercial facilities and by hand (dependant on particular items).
    • Placing inventory back on designated shelves
  • Manage cleaning and ironing of linen napkins using internal laundry.
  • Manage processing of linen tablecloths with our commercial laundry partner.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment. 
  • Maintain quantity and quality control of linen inventory including quarterly stocktaking.
  • Follow OH&S business standards at all time.


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • The ideal candidate will display meticulous cleanliness standards and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Demonstrate initiative and take accountability of tasks.   
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be physically able to lift heavy items.
  • Prior kitchen cleaning or ironing experience preferable.

Event Staff (Bump In/Out)

We are seeking individuals to assist us with on-site events including deliveries, table setup, repack and collection of hire orders. As functions typically occur on weekends the ability to work on these days will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Liaise with our client services team to review client production schedule/floor plan and table setting mock-up prior to event to ensure accurate and efficient on the day setup.
  • Carry out delivery and collection of hire orders using business vehicle.
  • Setting of tableware & décor onsite as per floor plan/mock-up.
  • Setting & steaming of table linen onsite.
  • Represent The Pretty Table in a professional and courteous manner and liaise with client/event stylist/venue onsite.
  • Liaise with venue staff/kitchenhand/clients onsite to ensure all items are cleaned and prepared ready for packdown.
  • Post-event packdown – repack tableware into transport tubs/crates.
  • Follow OH&S business standards at all time.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • The ideal candidate will be able to undertake responsibilities in an efficient and focused manner, ensuring they work to precise plans & timelines.  
  • Personable and professional attitude and effectively communicate with clients, venues, and stylists.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Be able to work under pressure and problem solve.
  • Be able to work co-operatively and efficiently with other on-site supplier teams including stylists, florists, venue staff, etc
  • Valid driver’s license required; will drive business van for deliveries.
  • Must be physically able to lift and move items.
  • Be reliable and on time for scheduled jobs.
  • Flexible schedule, available to work weekends and late nights within the time allocated by the stylist/venue     
  • Prior event experience preferable.
